Koffler Scientific Reserve

"Future Vision Canada is proud to have contributed to a facility that enables global impact through local discovery."

Set in the rolling woodlands of King Township, the University of Toronto’s Koffler Scientific Reserve (KSR) is a leading hub for ecological research and teaching. To support growing academic use, the Reserve underwent a major expansion, adding a new Dining and Operations Centre and twenty seasonal bunkies—enhancing its capacity for dining, accommodation, and instruction.

The architectural approach emphasizes passive design, exposed timber construction, and a strong connection to nature—all aligned with KSR’s environmental mission. Future Vision was proud to supply Internorm’s HF 410 wood-aluminum windows, offering exceptional thermal insulation, modern aesthetics, and natural finishes that integrate seamlessly with the timber structure.

Our team worked closely with the design and construction teams to meet LEED Gold standards, delivering glazing solutions that support year-round comfort and energy efficiency. Every detail at KSR reflects a commitment to environmental stewardship—and we’re proud to have contributed to a facility that enables global impact through local discovery.
